You know that woman you walk by on the street with a great outfit? You want to stop her and ask where she got that great look. Alas, I’m always too shy or in a tearing hurry myself. Andrea and Anne of I Want To Be Her! know the feeling:
“Sometimes I see her on the street, sometimes I see her in a magazine, but I always want to try her clothes on even if it’s just for one day.”
They take photos and sometimes it’s just a sketch, but they’ll tell you where you can get the pieces so you can add them to your wardrobe! Great inspiration when you want to change-up your look.
i know the feeling, but the more “mature” i get, the more i realize i just am who i am. people used to tell me i was a genius with accessories. go figure. i had no money, shopped at the good will, had my mom make me some cute skirts out of old fabric, and wore hand me down make up. that was youth. yet that also was me. now i feel that money helps make the shopping experience easier, but it doesn’t buy much fashion sense. my style seems at times super simple and inexpensive, and at others, more complicated and expensive, but i try to keep it true to my personality and lifestyle. you know, i used to have pretty nice feet. now they’re red and flaky and the nails are peeling. there’s only so much effort and time and money i am willing to pour into this mortal shell. i admire and applaud women of all ages who seem to have that “je ne sais quoi” with their seemingly effortless style. common sense tells me that a genuine smile and laughter are the best possible cosmetics–and free!!!
Here here!
btw-i happen to think you’re innate style is really unique, and totally you–and that’s pretty stylish!
Thank you very much!
