It’s baking season! For my debut this year I dusted off this dead easy cinnamon buns recipe. It’s easy because I get a little help with the dough from my freezer section of the grocery.
Easy Cinnamon Buns
1 loaf Frozen White Bread Dough (I like Rhodes brand)
1/4 cup Flour (For Rolling)
1/3 cup Softened Butter
1/2 cup Light Brown Sugar
1 1/2 tablespoons Ground Cinnamon
2 tablespoons Melted Butter.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Defrost frozen bread dough according to package directions.
Let dough rise until doubled in volume.
Roll out dough on a floured surface to about 6×14 rectangle.
Spread softened butter onto dough.
Sprinkle on brown sugar and then add cinnamon.
Now roll the dough and pinch closed at the seam.
With a sharp knife, slice the roll into roughly 1 inch pieces.
Place into a buttered muffin tin. Cover and set in a warm place for about 30 minutes or until doubled in volume.
Brush the rolls with the melted butter.
Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
Meanwhile, prepare the frosting…
Cream Cheese Frosting
1 package Softened Cream Cheese
2 cups Powdered Sugar
1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
1 tablespoon Milk Or Cream
In a bowl mix all the ingredients until well combined and fluffy.
When the rolls are done cool them briefly and then slather with the frosting!
These look yummy, I’m definitely going to do these!
