Part two of Sali Hughes’ In The Bathroom interview with Caitlin Moran is up on her YouTube page! Her make-up drawer is as messy as mine!
Also I’ve finished Moran’s book (yes I read very fast-it’s my only super power) How to be Famous.
Can I just say that it’s brilliant! And it’s such a timely story even though it takes place in 1995. Hilarious and heartfelt. The chapter in which Dolly writes the letter to her rock star friend about how he shouldn’t discount his teenage girl fans is amazingly important.
Although a grown woman, I became weepy at the words:
They are a power grid of energy-they are splitting their own atoms with love and exploding over and over…
The rest of the letter to John is amazing and if you haven’t figured it out yet I highly recommend this book and it’s predecessor How to Build a Girl It isn’t necessary to read first to enjoy Famous but it is the story of how Dolly met John.
